Autumn & Micah--A Registry Story
(Photography courtesy of Allison Little)
As the flowers bloom and the sun makes its entrance once again, it's not only the bees that are buzzing. Wedding season is here, and brides everywhere are prepping for their big day, finalizing each last minute detail. At Bella Vita, we are lucky enough to be involved in this exciting process, and share in some amazing fairy tales in the process. In this Registry Story, we are pleased to introduce Autumn and Micah, who will tie the knot this June.
Both Memphis natives, Autumn and Micah met in their early high school years at Bellevue Baptist Church. They caught each other's eye when on a trip with the church choir, and the rest is history. After graduating from Westminster Academy and Houston High School, respectively, Autumn and Micah headed to Union University in Jackson, TN. On May 1, 2010, Micah took the plunge and proposed to Autumn after a Cardinals baseball game, romantically staged in front of the St. Louis arch. Perhaps the most special part of the whole experience was that this happened to be the same location of the couple's first pictures together on that choir trip so many years before.
"We began wedding planning right away!" exclaimed Autumn. She added that Micah is keeping the honeymoon a surprise until she boards the plane. "This was a struggle for me at first because I am such a planner and a definite type-A personality, however, it has been a wonderful experience actually not having to plan something," she said. She does know one thing, though--wherever they're going, it will be warm.
When they return from the mystery honeymoon destination, Autumn and Micah will continue to call Memphis home, as she starts her second year at the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy in August. She will graduate in May 2014, after which she will plan to take her board exams and begin working in Memphis. Micah will finish up his degree in May and will then apply to medical school at the University of Tennessee, pursuing a career in pediatrics.
But before the tropical escape and the return to their professional endeavors, the couple counts down the days until June 4, 2011, when they will tie the knot at their old stomping grounds, Bellevue Baptist Church. The reception will follow at Colonial Country Club, and is sure to be just as romantic as their fairy tale engagement.
Congratulations Autumn and Micah, and thank you for letting us be a part of your big day!
